Subject: slow Vista logon off domainOS: Vista BusinessCPU/Ram: 2.0 Core 2 duoModel/Manufacturer: Apple |
Comment: I have Vista business and my notebook is a member of a domain. When I take the notebook offsite the logons take *forever* just like XP used to in the early days - presumably while Vista waits to hear back from the domain controller, which isn't there. Anyone have a workaround for this?

Reply: (edit)Try making sure your laptop's wireless is disabled before logging in when away from the domain. There's usually a manual switch or keyboard command that can disable it...
