Comment: My problem is that when I put my computer on sleep mode it "wakes" up by itself a second later. I believe that it maybe either a vista or a hardware issue because I have the same configuration that I had on my previous xp computer. Any suggestions? thanks in advanced.

Reply: (edit)Vista seems to have a lot of issues with sleep mode, particularly the S3 mode. If you do a Google search, you might find a solution. Also, you could download the latest service pack for Vista-that might help.

Reply: (edit)kx5m2g, thanks for the response. So it turns out to be that the network controllers can "wake" up a PC from standby mode in vista, so every time there is "activity" which is every second or so it would "wake" up. So I just disabled it to be able to wake up the PC in the device manager.
