Solved Shockwave Flash Plug In Browser Issues

May 6, 2014 at 15:45:51
Specs: Windows Vista
Hello,

Vista is my OS. When using the aviator web browser any site I view with any video clip I get the error Shockwave Flash has crashed and then Windows tries to close the program.

I am using the current issue of flash player. I have disabled the previous versions of flash player. When I tried to change the content setting to click to play instead of the default setting run automatically it goes back to the default setting and does not stay on the click to play setting.

Other than uninstalling and reinstalling the aviator web browser any ideas of how to resolve the issues? I am also aware I could use a different browser.

Thanks for time and help.

If you are not aware of the aviator web browser here is a link to their website https://www.whitehatsec.com/aviator/

I emailed whitehat. Here is the reply I got back from them

This does seem to be a flash error (Aviator uses html5 for videos on youtube by default, so that’s probably why the videos there are working). I’ve submitted this issue to our development team

"I am using the current issue of flash player. I have disabled the previous versions of flash player."

There shouldn't be any previous versions installed. When you install or update Flash Player, previous version is overwritten automatically by the new version.

"I am also aware I could use a different browser."

That's the best thing to do. I suggest you use Google Chrome as it's got the Flash Player built in to it already and it's updated automatically in the background whenever there is a new version, no user action is required.
