i have found annoying shadows on the screen from each line of text or block of colour.
Hi there, There can be a problem with your system vga card or your screen. So visit any local computer shop for help.

thanks imran, but it's a work PC so i'm gonna have to leave that to the IT dept. i thought it may be a software problem, and still think it may be, because i did a system restore to last week, and voila, it's all right again.
This is the simplest fix ever, your monitor cable needs pushing in - it is probably half out. Hope this helps :-)
