Settings option has disappeared (win vista)

Specs: Windows Vista
I cannot adjust monitor display. Limited to only about five settings all of which are too small. Right click on desktop now does not offer "settings'. Vista system. Acer Aspire 4720z laptop.

Have you 'lost' your graphics driver (see device manager).

Right click on vista desktop does not natively offer settings (offers personalize) - so settings selection probably supplied by graphics driver, which if something's removed that..
