Hi can anyone help me i have got a dell inspiron 1520 laptop and every time i turn it on after a couple of mins or so it keeps going black the detail is still there but it looks as though the light is off .

Using the Fn key and brightness/contrast up key, change the brightness and contrast of the screen and see if you can see anything.
