Due to a virus i need to format/re install everything on my hard drive. I want to save/backup my old emails but not sure where they are stored in Windows Vista.

Could anyone advise?

Emails are stored in microsoft outlook

open my computer > c: and right click documents and settings. search for outlook.pst - this file contains everything you need.
