My new computer came pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium and I also installed Windows One Care anti-virus program. I don't know which is responsible but for some reason, I can't save half the items in Favorites. For example, I tried to save the Wall Street Journal site and when clicking on the 'Add to Favorites' button, I get a Windows Internet Explorer error that reads, "unable to create www.wsj.com. Unspecified error." This never happens on my XP computer but I don't want to have to use the older computer just because of sites that won't take to Vista. What gives here? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Does the same thing happen in Firefox? Check the security level in IE. Disable the anti virus program and see if that helps.
AV programs are worthless. I never use them.

Thanks Quapo. I tried that and it still does it. It's likely a glitch in Vista which unfortunately has many compared to XP. Upon further testing after your suggestion, I found the error message pops up when I try to save a site in a particular favorites file such as trying to save the Wall Street Journal site in my News folder. But when I saved it in favorites without indicating a particular file, it saved it successfully. I then opened favorites and dragged the WSJ file into the News folder. I guess in Vista, I have to be content to do the extra step but at least I figured it out. Hopefully this helps if anyone else has the same problem.

Just to keep the record straight "AV programs are worthless" is actually an opinion, despite being expressed as a statement of fact. Not everyone would agree.
