Battery only lasts an hour at most. I was told that I could change settings to save power but instructions didn't worik with Vista. Apparently this is normal battery time for Toshiba...not good. I may as well not have a laptop. Can anyone help me save battery power? Thank you.

How old is the system? Some Toshiba models had batteries that seemed to last only a year or 2 and battery charge time started dropping quickly.
