Periodically when I start up my computer and log on and go to my home page I get a pop-up that says:
Runtime Error Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more info.

If I click on the OK button my webpage shuts down. If I don't I can open the webpage leaving the pop-up there in the background and read my email, etc. How do I fix this problem to remove this pop-up.

Other times I will get a pop-up window saying:
DCA Update agent has stopped working. What does that mean?

You could try reinstalling IE. You could also try a program called runtifix.exe. See http://www.annoyances.org/exec/foru...

Are runtifix.exe and annoyances.org/exec/for.... two separate websites or is one part of the other. Also do they charge to download them, as I am low on cash.

They are definitely separate websites. You can do a google search for runtifix-it's definitely a free download. The only problem is that it looks like it's only for Windows XP-I'm not sure how it would work with Vista, though you could do a search for runtifix for Vista.

Thank you, I will keep those websites in mind. In the meantime I went to microsoft's website and under Internet Explorer 7 Run Time errors they suggested I use MrFixIt to reset my iExplorer. I did that, restarted and this time I didn't have the problem. We'll just see how long that works.

I'm glad you found something that worked-and it might help others with a similar problem.
