Running MS DOS programs on Vista

Specs: Vista
I have Vista running on my new laptop. I would like to run old MS DOS applications i.e. games. I heard that you can download dosbox to get such an DOS application up and running. However are there any major risks to my laptop associated with this?

Very little risk. I tried an old game in Windows 7 and it worked fine. Why not try it in vista first?

Dosbox is a great tool if you get it from dosbox and be sure to scan it. There are other tools to allow you to try old games. Dosbox would be the first on my list to use.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
