Specs: Windows Vista
After installing SP2 for Vista Home Premium, "run32dll has stopped working" error message appears. Closing it allows me to run most other apps; except those in Control Panel, e.g., "Adjust Clock," "Internet Options," et al. None of the Fix Registry products have worked, which cost me nearly $100 now.

Like the last post this is also not going to help much , I uninstalled Sp2 and used system restore to a point before Sp2 ,
still had problems with IE8 , so I eventually restored from a back up I had on an external drive .
Sp2 is an optional update , not a critical one and as such I see no need to have it if the machine is running well , safety is not compromised as I see it .
