In some programs, like Photoshop, Microsoft Word, can be run by typing photoshop or winword in the RUN, is there a way to custom make some keywords to associate with a program?

Thank You

I had to search Google for the answer. In the Unix world, that's called an alias and it can be done by using the alias command. Unfortunately, that command doesn't exist in Windows.

The answer to your question is still yes but it requires adding a key to the registry. I don't know if you want to go that far but the instructions are at:

Might have been safer using a batch file.

A simple file named p.bat would have been used to start photoshop if it was edited.

All you'd have to do is type p in the run entry if path is ok.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
