I have been trying to install the router for the past hour but i am unable to.

I have an adsl internet and works fine. I connected the router with the tower through the eternet wire and from the router i connected the adsl modem. the router name is netgear. i connected the modem first and than the router..

i enter in http://192.168.0.1 to configure the router but i ended it with an IP 0.0.0.0 on the Internet Port assigned.

any ideas what could be the problem? i tried to connect to the internet through dsl from my internet icon and couldnt connect but connected afterwards i eliminated the router.. any ideas pls?

you may have to change the router's WAN port MAC address to that of your computer.

All my Netgear routers have used http://192.168.1.1 for connection. Have you tried that?

As I know default IP for Netgear router is 192.168.1.1, so you can configure your computer as following:

IP: 192.168.1.10
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.1

Connect network cable from computer to router's LAN port, after that ping 192.168.1.1 and proceed to do http.
