Restoring Fujitsu laptop hung - Error Code 7

Specs: Windows Vista
hi my sons laptop crashed, so tried to reinstall it, then it said it had the wrong key, so typed the one on the sticker, which said was incorrect, tried reinstalling again, it gets so far then says "ERROR CODE 7" so turned it of now it says missing operating system, it is a fujitsu amil li2727

Kind of difficult to tell.

Are you using the disks that came with the system or did you make them.

I'd assume you typed in one of the keys wrong if you have the MS produced disk in your hand and the key for it.

Most restores don't need a key but it see the owners manual for exact how to's.

There might be a recovery partition that you can access from booting by a key combination. Might be F8

i had to make the reinstall disks when the laptop was first turned on, i have also tried another set of disks as my other 2 children also have the same model with their own sets of disks, but none of them worked it always gets so far into the reinstalation and says error code 7,
sorry got a bit mixed up the laptop freaked out saying it had the wrong product key (whilst it was being used) and so couldnt do any thing so tried to reinstall then error code comes up, now when turned on it says missing operating system, also it is now 2 moths out of warranty so i cant send it back, is it unrepairable?
