I got a virus few days back, deleted it, but was receiving a blue screen error. So I decided to reinstall windows vista with my 2 disks that came with my computer. After a long process past night, I finally got it to boot up regulary again after restoring it back to factory settings. However... For some reason now I cannot connect to the Internet at all. I've tried resetting my router/modem twice now nothing works. I've got a toshiba model number satellite l305d 32 bit windows vista. Any help as to why this is happening?

How did you originally connect it. Just plug it in and power it up?

We need to know more about how your isp connects. Did you ever use a cd to connect? Is the user and password in the modem or could it have been part of the old install?

Can another computer or laptop connect through this setup?

Hi Jefro. Yes, I just plugged it in, entered in the password for the internet and it worked even hours before I restored the computer, the internet worked.

To your question regarding other computers and that, yes, I can connect through my iPod, Xbox and the home desktop.
