Remove one of two Vista versions installed

Specs: Windows Vista Basic
I have a version of Vista Premium on C drive and Vista Basic on D drive. I only want the Basic on D drive; can I simply uninstall the one on C drive and stop the boot manager from appearing?

Well, I have a bunch of windows.old files from my windows vista installation last week on accident..... I cannot delete them because "access denied"... because it thinks there are inportant files in there...... but anyway, how about you.... well, your D drive is cd right? well, when it says "press any key to boot from CD..." click a key and install basic.... downgrade.... Im not sure if I gave you what you wanted.... Im sorry if I did not.
