We've been noticing when ever our power users does a RDC to their office PC from their home PC, the default hp printer gets switched to "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" as the default printer when they log back in to their PC locally. Is this a known issue with Vista? Is there a work around for the problem?

Thanks...

Apparently, you're not the first to have that problem. Google is your friend.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did use goggle and came across sites that had similar suggestions. But, this defeats the purpose of being able to print to your own printer(s). I guess the best practice is to select a local default printer before signing out of RDC.

The site explained how to avoid the default printer from changing.
