I have a Windows Vista at home and connecting to Windows XP through remote desktop. I'm having problems when sharing the printer to the XP machine. I made sure that the "Printers" is checked off on the the "Local Resources" from the RDC options. Still, I can't find the printer from the printer selection when trying to print.

But, when I connect to another Vista machine at work, I can see my printer from the printer selection list.

Is this a Vista - XP problem? Is it possible to share my printer, at home, to my XP at the office?

TIA.

Try selecting "Local color printer" from the printer dialog box. It should change to the name of that local printer once selected if it is connected and online.
