You don't have 2 hard disks, you have 1 with 2 partitions. The D: recovery disk is just that, to recover the system to as new in case of disaster. Leave it alone. It should not be used for storage. In any case that amount of space won't be of much use if you have managed to fill C:drive to the point where you need more space. A 2 hour movie recording could use up most of it. With the low cost of hard drives, a new drive would be a good addition.
