Comment:

When I first got my Verbatim 2gig USB drive I used to get the statement "Speed up my system using Windows ReadyBoost." I never get that request anymore... only the regular ones. However when I look at the USB in Explorer ther is a file there called ReadyBoost.sfcache. Does this mean that the USB drive is being used anyway without the usual requester coming up?

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

Solved... I right clicked the drive>Properties>ReadyBoot tab and the cache can be turned on and off from there.

Windows Asks about ReadyBoost once for your flash drive, if you got a new flash drive it will ask you again about turning ReadyBoost ON or Off, but with one device the settings will be applied once you've choosen. And as you said, you can turn on or off from the drive properties window.
