Hi. I have a Packard Bell X8860 running vista home Premium 32bit. Using the Performance Information and Tools that give you a pc rating, everything on my PC is 5.9 or 5.8 except my Ram which was 4.7. I had 2GB of ram installed (2x 1GB) so I got another stick of ram (1x2GB PNY) and installed and now its shows that I have 4GB of ram installed but my ram score has gone from 4.7 to 4.2 so it’s gone DOWN by 0.5? Why when I have added more ram has my score gone down?

Might be a dual channel issue.

I would use other tests to show performance.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
