I could not find my answer in the search. But I wanted to know is there an average of processes vista should be running? Right now, during a virus scan its running 48 processes but only 15 are listed in the task manager. Is this right? Should I be seeing more there?

Thank you Sabertooth I feel kinda dumb, but since basic searches didn't answer my question thought it would be better to ask. (I assumed i would see all the processes running all the time) The reason behind the question was because some other items showed up in the processes like mobsync which have just started to run more lately in the task manager. Never noticed it before.

Try Process Explorer by Sysinternals , Which is part of M$ , I have used this util since 98 FE , just put a shortcut in the quick start . It's is more detailed than Task Manager , It will open when TM wont , some malware can prevent TM from opening for example . http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/...
