Mic worked from the start, however all of a sudden it stopped. All I get is a loud intense noise. I'm using windows vista home edition, using realtek HD audio. I'm not really sure what else to say, but hopefully I can answer any questions asked and the problem can be found.

some more information, my friends say they can sometimes hear my output from my speakers, for instance, when i was in a chat room in skype trying to get my mic to work, i testing my speakers, and my friend commented he heard the noise, very strange O_o. Also, I have my charger for my phone connected near my computer, and when i would connect/disconnect the phone from it, the intense "noise" from the mic palyback changes intensity, which I find very strange. I do not know if any of this information is helpful, but I have tried troubleshooting myself and have not been able to solve the problem, so hopefully someone here can help.

also, when i have my headset plugged in, my friends cannon hear me, however, they can hear the music coming from my headphones, and from past exp, my speakers. They cannot if the mic is unplugged, or if its muted, otherwise they can. Very strange O_*.
