A bit more information would be nice, but just a guess - have you got Norton (in one form or another) installed? If so, then it's part of the protection that Norton provides. You can turn off Auto-Protect in the 'options/auto-protect' section, though it isn't recommended as it's obviously protecting you from something - you'd be better off trying to identify what you're being protected from.
If you don't have Norton, then 'No idea'.
