I configure my display resolutio on my laptop to 1366x768 hit apply then ok. When I shut down/restart my unit, the display reverts to 800x600. This also happens when I return to the desktop after playing games but not all the time with games.
I have a Compaq presario cq60-210us with Windows Vista (sp2) NVIDIA 8200M G SERIES GRAPHICS, AMD ATHLON X2 64 I have had this problem for the past few wks and have had this pc for almost 1yr. I have done numereous spyware virus malware trojan scans using various programs and there seems to be no threat. Could this be caused from watching videos online or what? Please let me know. Thanks.

Try installing the latest drivers from Nvidia.

There are no newer drivers than the one I've downloaded recently. Rolled back to original driver and still the same situation. So as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with the driver itself. Thanks for the attemp of advice though.
