I may have a stupid question here, but when I right click the desktop, it gives me a menu and instead of properties, it says personalize. How do I change that to properties like the way Windows XP had it? Otherwise, how do I make personalize into a menu so that I don't have to click it and it opens up a big window.

That's just how Vista is setup. Even if you go change the theme to Windows classic it's still going to respond like that.
