to be honest with you. i've tried both and have not really noticed a difference. with your spec, I think running the built-in windows defrag tool is good enough. just schedule it to run once a week and it should be alright.

Been on Diskeeper for years now, never had a problem. I find it runs without conflicting with other programs or hanging etc.
