PDF files in office 2007 beta

According to microsoft PDF files should be accesable in the beta. however i can not open any. is it just a function to save to a pdf only?

Yes - all you can do is save a document in PDF format, you can't open and edit an existing PDF.

It's looking as if the PDF export may not make it to the final version of Office 2007 anyway - Adobe aren't happy about it and at present it has been dropped. The current plan is for PDF export to be a free add-on, but Adobe don't like that either.
