Please post the make/model of your computer or laptop. Why are you leaving it on overnite? The problem may have something to do with your power scheme settings.

The Make and Model is Hp Pavillion a1750y. I do my scans at night time.
We have primarily been having this problem since we put in a new power pack.

"Sometimes I have to turn it off and then unplug it then plug it back in before it will work again."

Best pursue other avenues but thought I should mention that I had a defective monitor once that did that all its life.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks I tried plugging a different monitor in to my tower. This did not solve my issues. I no longer can get my computer to come on at all now.

Does it sound as if it's booting up and do you ever see anything on the screen.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Yes, the power button lights up and the light under it will flash like there is something going on. The monitor would just go into power saving mode.
