you know when windows asks for permission to instal a program i want it to ask for a password too.
I just want the password feature so no one else using my computer installs stuff on it thanks

Do not give them administrator rights. limit the functions they can perform

First password protect your own account if you are the sole adm. Thereafter no one can install programs without knowing your password. It's that simple.

The other solutions are better, but if you also want to protect against this if someone does a simple "session hijacking" by using your computer after you walked away and forgot to log off, do the following:

Open your Local Policy Editor and set "User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode" to "Prompt for credentials".
