I usually keep 10Gb partition for winXP. I am interested to know how big a partition does Vista require ??

2. The microsoft site gives the following as HDD requirements

HDD 20 Gb
HDD Free Space 15Gb

recommended for vista is a minimum of 40 GB

Minimum supported system requirements

I'm sure you are aware "Minimum" requirements for anything computer related is arguably never recommended, so you better start looking at purchasing not just a secondary HDD, but likely a full system upgrade - if you are really serious about running Vista.

I run Vista Ultimate on a 30GB partition and including Office 2007 plus some other software, and it's so far only taken up 15Gb
