found a dell flyer in my mailbox today offering an amd based desktop c521 w 256 MB ram, 160gb hdd 19 tft for €459

installed os: windows MCE, incl. in the price is a vista upgrade voucher and indeed there is a banner saying 'vista ready' ... rofl

it says 256 mb and a free memory upgrade is NOT included in the price ...

i rang the dell hotline and asked about the offer and the sales rep confirmed it 'as is'. when i told the guy that according to ms, a vista capable pc should have a minimum of 512 mb ram, he said: 'oh, i didn't know that ... but i'll gladly pass your information on, sir'

It's probably a mistake. The last time I saw Dell selling a PC with 256mb of RAM had to be in...2005.
