Comment: I have a new Sony Vaio and when I turn on my laptop, it goes no further than the initial screen and then says 'Operating System Not Found' and lets me go no further. Any idea what the problem could be?? Cheers Ross

Reply: (edit)Since you just received the computer and it is covered under the warranty, I would deal directly with the manufacturer (so as not to void any warranties). Sony appears to have several support options on their site. If you go to this link, you will find a section for computers/Vaio which offers you live chat options, traditional call in, etc. Good Luck. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/su...

Reply: (edit) Hi,
Apologies, I'm not very technical but I called Sony when I had this issue and they walked me through the possible options but this basically means that your computer can't find Vista and that's not too good. They did need to replace my HDD unfortunately but if your computer's still under warranty, you should be ok? Sorry that it's not good news (well, my experience wasn't anyway). Cheers Ross
