Hi! chaps, can anyone help me with this, and tell me what has happened.
All of a sudden when I open a doc file, all I get is computer code, even the files on my flash drive do the same, I reinstalled office, but it made difference, so I downloaded a program called Opal office.
Now, if I right click on a file and select open with, and then Opal, my files open ok.
What do I have to do to get them to open in Word.
Thanks for any answers.

As for re-associating .doc files (or whatever) with MS Office, follow this instruction:

Go to Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate File Type and scroll down to the extension you want and select the program you want to use.
