Subject: Nvidia Driver Causing Choppy Video?OS: Vista UltimateCPU/Ram: AMD Athlon X2 3800+/2.00Model/Manufacturer: Homemade Computer |
Comment: I have been having problems with my NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT card. When I update the driver to the latest driver bundle, which is the ForceWare Release 163, the video on my Windows Media Center live tv becomes choppy. It doesnt affect any of the other video formats on my computer such as Xvid or Divx, but only DVR-MS. When I roll back the driver to the old one on my computer the problem is resolved, however I have other programs on my computer that won't work at all unless I have the update. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated, as DVR-MS is the main format I use to watch everything. Thanks

Reply: (edit)Have you tried updating the M/B chipset drivers ? If yes, then report the problem to graphics card manufacturer using Nvidia chipset or to Nvidia itself or wait for the next Nvidia update. By the way are you using the graphics card manufacturer drivers or the one from Nvidia ? The intermediary solution may be, uninstall and then re-install the Nvidia drivers, if not done yet. Hope the above helps. Regards SuatCINI
