I have a dell inspiron with 2gig and I want to use my disk that came with my computer to start over.I want to erase all data and reinstall but it says not enough memory.

The normal reason is you really don't have enough memory.

Check bios for it's reading. Ram stick might have popped out or defective.

There is a way to force the install with very little memory if needed.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
