Try installing the drivers for your audio chip/soundcard.

Avoid all those driver scans you find on the internet. They can mess things up even more and most of them are scams.

Speaking quite generally, when you have an onboard sound chip you get your drivers from either your computer or motherboard manufacturer (often including in the chipset drivers). If you have an add-on sound card then you get the driver from whoever manufactures that.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I think that this is a common problem with vista sp1 and sp2.
One of the reasons are the daily upgrades from microsoft.
Those suckers (Bill G and Steve B ) want people to pay even more for a bad product.

I haven´t solved the problem yet.
I´m pretty sure that all the everyday updates from microsoft are the "thief" in this vista problem.

Sorry Bill G NO MORE MONEY for you.

Re #7

Microsoft do not read these forums, if that is who it was intended for. Frustration never solves anything.
