This isn't specifically a Vista problem (but I didn't know where else to post it), as it happened on this machine when I had XP, but not for months and months after I installed it, thought the problem can back after a fresh install of Vista after a couple of weeks. The problem is, any sites that have embedded video content using the flash video player, e.g. youtube, won't show the video, saying either my flash player is out of date (I checked - it's not) or that I have Javascript turned off (checked by following the onsite instructions - scripting is on). Apart from this, I don't know what else to check. I can't think of any applications I had recently installed that would correlate with the problem in XP, so I'm at a loss. If anyone else has any ideas I'd be very grateful - I'm missing my daily fix of funny videos.
Thanks

Are you running x64 edition of Vista? (and XP previously?)

Ah, I was going to say, I have that problem sometimes, for example if I launch a link from an e-mail attachment in Outlook Express, it will launch the 64-bit version of IE - and I won't be able to view any flash videos because there is not yet a 64-bit version of Flash.

Have you tried deleting Flash from your C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files? That way you can re-install. Other than that, I'm at a loss too!
