Reply: (edit)Hi! I followed all the instructions below and was NOT SURE to DELETE or UNINSTALL SO I DELETED on right click on the CD or DVD drive that HAD a yellow exclamation mark! It went up and down but did not disappear. Followed the rest below but when I rebooted there was no CD or DVD Icon. Then I went back to check Device Manager on the right to the CD/DVD drive but there was no YELLOW exclamation mark this time. Then went back to regedit and the 2 files I deleted were not there. WHAT I FOLLOWED! Right click on “Computer”. Select Manage and then on the right side select device manager. On the left if you see a yellow exclamation mark next to your drive and were getting any of the above error codes then we have a simple fix. Now browse: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control \Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Now that you are at the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Folder on the right side you will see several entries. right Click and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters. These will be remade once you reboot. Reboot... give it another 20-30 seconds to install the new device.
