Solved No downloading error messages

Specs: Windows 2000, 00
I cannot download anything when trying to install an error message pops open saying, 'cannot find point of entry' or 'file to setup is missing.'

You will have to clarify things a bit. For a start you are posting in the Vista forum but you have your specs shown as Windows 2000 so which is it?

Then are the problems occurring when you download or install? - they are different things but you mention both.

How are you 'downloading'? - using a browser? - if so, which one?

The error messages you are getting are related to different problems so which download/install produces which error?

When you next want to download split it into two parts so that we can see where it is going wrong:

When you download do not use "Run". Instead "Save" the file somewhere. This is the download phase - let us know if this works.

If it works then double click the saved file to start the install and let us know if this install phase fails.

This method is a good one to use at all times - it means you are not on the web during the install, and gives you a chance to check the file for viruses.

Give us some idea what you are downloading, preferably with a link - the above is based on guess work.
