I have called my IP and they said that my computer is causing this problem. I think that they are right because I can connect my lap-top without problems. They said that I should try to disconnect and then connect again following step by step instructions. It didn't help. Then I have tried to run command prompt, commands like ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew, but it didn't work out.It said that session has timed out. Now let me say this. Everything started after I moved my computers around. I didn't have any problems before that. I have checked how everything is connected to make sure that is correct. After I've tried every advice I was given and didn't have any results I had to format hard drive thinking that with fresh copy of Win Vista I won't have any more problems with connection. Guess what, I still can't connect to internet.

That's correct. It's not good to start a new thread. In any case, the NIC is not getting an IP address and it could be that it isn't installed properly. Go to the device manager, network adapters and check the status of the drivers.

First of all, I need to say thanks to everyone who tried to help me out on Computing .net.
Yesterday I’ve decided to take my computer in Best Buy store to have Geek Squad agent
look at it. He didn’t find anything wrong with the connection and he was able to connect right away.
He also said that modem is causing this problem and that I was able to connect my lap-top probably because I was pick in up connection from my neighbor.
Then I’ve called my IP again and they said that they will send technician in my house.
He couldn’t fix the problem, even after he put the new modem. After few more calls to my IP they finally said that they have problem with their server and connection in this area.
Thanks,
ITS BIG ONE

You said that you could connect with the laptop in your original post. How could that be if the problem as at the ISP?
