Comment: I just bought a new laptop. But it has 1 Harddisk of 160GB. So i want to split, how much do you guys recommend ? And can i harm the installation files to recover or reinstall windows ? I will use partition magic unless there are better options

Reply: (edit)My Acer came with 120 GB split in half used to have recovery partitions but i deleted it because i called and ordered recovery DVD'S. I created the DVD'S when i was prompted but they never worked. You can get a program called Partition Commander it will boot to the CD and you can resize without fdisking its better than PQ Magic. But maybe the newer versions of PQ Magic will boot to CD im not sure.
