Newly burned audio CD is not recognized to rip

January 25, 2012 at 05:43:51
Specs: Windows Vista
I put the burned CD in and can play it on Zune and Windows Media player, but I cannot rip the music off of it. I want to rip and put the music into iTunes, but iTunes doesn't even recognize that there is a CD in the player...

Is a problem with the CD or my E drive maybe??

If you burned the CD as a "multisession" disc and it isn't finalized, that would explain why iTunes can't see it. You must finalize the disc.

Are the music files in WMA format? If so, they may have digital rights management on them. This would keep you from copying or ripping them.

Windows media player can rip music.
But without knowing more it could be a DRM issue.
