I recently installed a wireless network in my home everything works fine but on my laptop which is running Windows Vista it is always identifying the network it will list it as my network for a few seconds then it say multiple network and goes back to identifying the network. Is this a problem or am I just worrying about nothing?

It sounds like it's seeing more than one wireless signal. If there is no interruption in service, I wouldn't worry about it.

hi
if the 'multiple notice' persists and annoys enough have look at the link to remove the rogue signal source, and make yours is the prefered one, i had this issue recently with 3 sky routers all from local houses interfering, one ssid called the same as the one i was trying to connect to,that caused some amusement.

I fixed this problem by doing a complete reboot of everything, including the router and modem. Wait a minute or two, then power up modem, wiat for all lights to look normal, power up wireless router, wiat for lights, then fire up computers again. The one Vista machine that was constantly trying to identify was fine after that. Hope this helps. Maybe I just got lucky. But my other Vista machine and one XP64 machine, both wireless, were not experiencing the same problem. Something was not right with the Vista laptop until I rebooted everything.
