Comment: I had nero 7 and it worked fine - i uninstalled it and installed nero 8
and now i cant burn anything. When i select a burner i get "Sorry, this version of nero can only be used with the recorder it has been bundled with"
It wasnt bundled with the recorder; i downloaded the setup file from nero's web site today!
Gaah - im stumped. :(

Reply: (edit)It's obvious, you didn't get it with the recorder, so it won't work.
Reinstall the one that worked, or buy a new burner bundled with Nero 8.

Reply: (edit)um - thanks for the reply but when you download
the setup file from nero's web site it is not burner specific - it's THE setup to install
nero on your pc no matter what burner you have.
Ive downloaded nero updates all the time and they work....?

Reply: (edit)fwiw - i dug through the registry and discovered the serial number was incorrect - changed the serial and fixed the problem -
dunno why nero just didn't say "invalid serial number"....
