Now I can not format the vista with the CD!

CD boots & loads the windows files in black screen. then it stops & shows blank black screen....

computer stops the reading hdd & stay still in blank screen!

I have tried several CD's & ghost cd too! But pointless!

I have no other hdd to format! So please help me to format vista & re-install!

Thanks!

It's a DVD, not a CD. And the fact that you've had to install it many times in one year doesn't say much about your computing/troubleshooting skills. It sounds like you *may* have a hardware problem but you haven't provided enough info to pinpoint the problem.

... take a peek in your Bios to establish if it can see your harddrive!

... if its an older motherboard you may have to load SATA drivers during installation key prompt!

Yes! when I press F8 it shows below options!

Safe Mod
Safe mod with networking
Safe mod with command prompt

Enable BOOT logging
Enable law resolution video
Last known Good configuration
Directory Services restore mod
debugging mode
disable automate restart on system failure
Disable driver signature enforcement

I ran the vista setup on windows! & upgrade the windows! but still shows the error! I can not get the vista set up on DVD BOOT!

Please tell me are there any formatting tools to format my c: drive?

Thanks for your support!

Could be the hard disk failing. If so replacement is the only option. Why have you had to reinstall Vista so often?

I got EXACTLY the same problem. Yesterday the electricity in my house went off. Back on again, i tried to get into windows vista, but some system config error doesnt let me, but the big problem comes when the black screen with mouse appears on my INSTALATION DISK ! So i cant even format my computer nor save my data :( Tomorrow i will try a DOS Western Digital diagnosis and see what it says. Been all day with the problem, want to call it a day.
P.S - Tried safe mode and nothing (black screen with mouse). Even with 5 SHIFTS and stuff. BlackSOD in instalation appears after copiyng files and the loading green bar. Partition problem perhaps? Corrupt files? I really doubt the hard drive is broken...
P.P.S - In safe mode it gets "stuck" with dysk.sys for a while before the black screen with mouse.
P.P.P.S - Is Parted Magic a possible solution. Not sure whats about. Needs instalation?
Sorry for the long post :P and thanks for your patience!
