In my pc when i installed vista 64 bit its not format my old windows xp from c drive ..so when i open my c i get 2 programs and 2 windows folder..first two is vista and another name is windows(old) programs file(old)..now i re install my xp SP3 in d drive..and from d drive i tried to format my c drive..in right click and format option..but its cannot format c drive...now i want to format my c drive and install vista..pls help me how i can format c drive from d drives windows..

Boot PC with Vista DVD. At the screen where you are asked where to install the OS, select the correct hard disk, click on Advanced, then click on format.

Better be careful as to what you mean. C drive may or may not be what you want to format.
