Specs: Windows Vista
Hi, I am having a big issue when I turn my computer on. Basically some of the icons are disappearing off my screen and when I open a window i.e. the internet it is not showing the left hand side i have to drag the window over to the right to be able to read it. I have tried restarting the computer and this did not work. I have also started my computer in safe mode but then i got stuck as it told me to open programmes to find the problem. Can you help me please :)?

You need to change your screen properties while in safe mode.

No need to do it in Safe Mode. You can change the screen resolution in normal mode.

If you try to do it in Safe Mode you won't be able to because only a basic vga driver is loaded in Safe Mode, and that only allows a fixed, low resolution which can't be adjusted.

You need to be in Normal Mode to set the correct screen resolution, as that's when the correct video driver is active.
