all of my desktop Icons are short cuts and dont work, how do i fix it?

Nope did not fix. I tryed the lnk one and I was the admins.. and it said cannot read all ......any other suggestions?
they work kinda if i right click and go to start but when i try regular they say "open with" and that tab comes up...
